Getting started
How do I create an account?
Connect a wallet and sign a short message containing a one-time code. That signature proves you control the address, costs nothing and sends no transaction. The address becomes your account, so there is no email to confirm and no password to remember.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Run2Earn runs in the browser. You need a wallet, which can be a browser extension on desktop or a wallet app's built-in browser on mobile.
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. Signing in is free, tracking is free, and the only on-chain transaction is the payout we send to you.
What if I lose access to my wallet?
We hold no other identifier for you, so the account and its points cannot be recovered. Keep your wallet backed up the way you would for any funds it holds.
Tracking and location
Why does the site need my location?
Distance is measured from GPS while the tracker is open. That is the only way a website can tell genuine movement from a device being shaken. Without it there is nothing to verify and nothing to reward.
When is my location read?
Only while the tracker page is open and a run is active. Pausing stops readings from counting, and finishing stops them entirely.
Do you store where I went?
No. We store the verified distance total and the last accepted position so a run can resume accurately after a signal drop. The route shape you see on the tracker is drawn in your browser and never uploaded.
Can I track with the screen off?
Not reliably. Mobile browsers throttle background tabs, so long runs need the tab open and ideally the screen awake. The tracker requests a screen wake lock where the browser supports it.
What happens if I lose signal?
Readings are held on your device and upload automatically when the connection returns, so nothing is lost.
Anti-cheat
How are steps verified?
Every pair of consecutive readings is checked on our server. Anything faster than 23 km/h is treated as a vehicle, any jump longer than 400 metres as a teleport, and any reading with accuracy worse than 50 metres as unreliable. All of those are discarded rather than paid.
Does standing still earn anything?
No. Movement below a walking threshold is treated as GPS drift and earns nothing, so a stationary phone cannot farm points.
Can I edit my points in the browser?
No. Balances are calculated and stored on the server from verified readings. Nothing the browser sends can set a balance directly.
What happens if cheating is detected?
Suspicious days are held rather than paid, and accounts that defeat verification can be suspended and their points removed.
Points and rewards
What is the conversion rate?
Distance becomes steps at one step per 0.75 metres. Then 100 verified steps equal 1 point, up to 30,000 steps a day, with your tier multiplier applied on top.
Is there a daily cap?
Yes, 30,000 verified steps a day earn points. Movement beyond the cap still counts toward your streak and the leaderboard.
How do I get paid?
Press Claim once you hold at least 1,000 points. Your whole balance is sent as one transaction on Robinhood Chain to the wallet you connected.
Why is there a minimum claim?
Every transaction costs a network fee. The minimum keeps the fee a small fraction of the reward instead of exceeding it.
What if a payout fails?
Your points return to your balance automatically and the failed attempt is recorded. Nothing is lost.
Do points have cash value?
Points are a record of verified movement. They are not money, not transferable between accounts and have no value outside this service.
Security
Will you ever ask for my seed phrase?
Never. Nobody legitimate will. We only ever ask you to sign a plain-text message, which cannot move funds.
Can you take assets out of my wallet?
No. Connecting proves ownership of an address; it grants no spending permission. Payouts only ever move value into your wallet.
How are payouts secured?
The key that funds payouts lives only in server-side configuration. It is never sent to the browser, never returned by an API and never written into the page.
